International University of   Fundamental Studies 

   The International University of Fundamental Studies (IUFS) is a non-government and non-profit making university in St. Petersburg, Russia and one of the major civic universities which is working together with Russian State Universities to offer International Degree Qualifications. In 1998, the Ministry of Education, Russia - State Committee for Higher Education & Science, St. Petersburg, Russia, had already recognized the IUFS. On 12th November 2007, University has been granted the Inter-governmental Accreditation by the International Parliament of Safety and Peace (Italy). Further in the 2007 had opened Inter-governmental Higher Academic Council (IHAC). .

The International University of Fundamental Studies (IUFS) was founded in St. Petersburg in the Russian Federation in the year1998 . The IUFS is a Scientific Research University continually operating it activities as a Complex Public Scientific Research Institution which is the first of its kind in the World. The IUFS is multi-functional in its goals and objectives. Also incorporated in the IUFS is the Intergovernmental Higher Academic Council (IHAC) where graduates can submit there dissertations in different fields of study and different spheres of Scientific-Research activities and thereby earn the International Postgraduate Degree Qualifications.

The International University of Fundamental Studies (IUFS) is a university that tackles problems of international importance and the

scientists representing the of IUFS do possess well respected international prestige. The IUFS also prepares International Scientific and Management Personnel including various activities within the IUFS having theoretical, practical and substance of international importance.

As a university the IUFS is universal indeed: and it covers almost all sciences and spheres of activities of scientific importance.

The IUFS is  unique university of a very special kind and level. It does not offer education in its more traditional meaning, instead the IUFS offers education that prepares already approved specialists to further high professional activity, proficiency and  scientific researches which are of great significance and importance.

Specialists from different countries are being tested by the Intergovernmental Higher Academic Council (IHAC) under the  purview of IUFS, which confers International Scientific Degrees of Bachelor, Master, Doctor and Grand-Doctor. In this connection the value of the International Scientific Degree conferred by IHAC according to international standards is followed by: "Bachelor, Master, Doctor, Grand-Doctor of Philosophy in certain field of science and scientifically significant activity".

Therefore  presentations presented and defended at IHAC under IUFS dissertations at any level must be of theoretical or practical importance.

The University has organized International Higher Examination Council (MVAK) and Higher Attestation Qualification Commission (HAQC) where postgraduate students can submit doctoral thesis and earn their  postgraduate degree qualifications (PhD, D.Sc, MD , Grand PhD..)

This faculty offer International Degree and Diploma Programmes (US, UK and Russian) through Distance Learning. .

Faculty of Postgraduate Studies-

 Postgraduate degrees can be undertaken either full-time or part-time, and as either an internal or an external students at IUFS. This is our main Campus building and there are some faculties and Advanced labs for chemistry and biology with State's  North - West Federal Research Institute of Health and Hygiene
